Flowers solitary axillary or in axillary or terminal racemes or clusters. Sepals 4, free, equal or the posterior sepals larger and strongly hooded. Petals 4, free. Stamens 10-many; androphore absent. Gynophore present. Fruit obovoid to globose berry or globose, woody.
