Diagnostic description:
Unarmed herbs, shrubs or trees. Leaves compound, 1-pinnate, paripinnate; often petioles and/or rachis with prominent glands. Flowers without bracteoles, yellow; in racemes. Sepals 5, imbricate. Petals 5. Stamens 10; filaments straight : anthers longer than filament or the filaments not more than double the length of anthers; anther dehiscence by apical pores or short slits. Pods compressed or terete, indehiscent to tardily dehiscent and then the valves not twisting.
Distribution:
It includes c. 240 species of which 6 are found in Saudi Arabia.
