Aloe shadensis
Diagnostic description:
Solitary, acaulescent Leaves pale greyish-green broad towards the base. margin with brown teeth 1-3 mm long and spaced 11-22 mm apart. Inflorescence erect, 100-150 cm high, with 2-5 branches, Racemes cylindrical Bracts small, 7-9×3- mm; pedicels 7-11 mm long. Perianth pale red, with curved mouth, 30-35 mm long, 6-7 mm in diameter across the ovary; outer segments free for 17 mm. Stamens 25-29 mm long; anthers 3 mm long; style 17-25 mm long; ovary 6-8 x 3 mm; stigma exserted by 2-3 mm. Capsule cylindrical, 25-27 x 5-6 mm. Seeds 3-angled, 5 x 3 mm, black with pale, narrow wings.
Distribution:
Distributed: Jabal Shada, Wadi Taruf and Thee Ain near Mikhwah. Endemic.
