Rumex vesicarius
General description:
♦ Rumex vesicarius L., Sp. Pl. 336 (1753). (Fig. 70).
Annual herb, erect, up to 40 cm tall, fleshy, glaucous. Leaves long petioled, fleshy, ovate-triangular, 2.5 - 7 x 2-5 cm, margin entire, apex acute or obtuse. Inflorescence a small reddish panicle. Flowers small, paired on a short pedicel, bisexual. Inner perianth segments wing like, entire, enlarge in fruit, membranous with reticulation of maroon veins.
