Pancratium tortuosum
Diagnostic description:
Bulb with layers of grey to dark grey, membranous tunics and usually deep in the ground. Leaves and flowers appearing together. Leaves 6-12, linear, up to c. 30 (-60) cm long, Scape up to c. 15 cm long, bearing 2-7 flowers subtended by a large, 5-9 cm long, tapering, membranous involucral bract. Flowers white, large, up to c. 17 (-20) cm long: perianth tube c. 12 cm long, narrow cylindrical; lobes linear, yellowish greenish; corona delicate, white membranous, cupulate.
Distribution:
Saudi Arabia: With a wide but scattered distribution.
